We will host a short senic tour of Fairfield County begining at 1:00 pm on Saturday from the Hampton Inn in Lancaster. The tour usually lasts about an hour.

You may also prefer to take the self directed road tour through Fairfield and Hocking County. Directions for the tours can be found at the link at the bottom of this page. You will start at the Hampton Inn and travel through Fairfield County and portions of the Hocking Hills. The entire tour will be approximately 35 miles.

The first portion of the tour will go through Lancaster and then on to southern portions of Fairfield County along Christmas Rock Rd, and through the grounds of the Southeastern Correctional Institute (former Boys' Industrial School).

Next, you'll drive through Clear Creek Metro Park, passing Leaning Rock, and continuing on to the Hocking Hills Market.

At this point, you have concluded approx. 21 miles of the tour.

Before returning to Lancaster via US Rt. 33, it is recommended you stop at the market to enjoy the crafts and antiques. You may also have a great meal and an old fashion milkshake at the Route 33 Diner.

The tour will end back at the Hampton Inn
